Hannah Bixby Yoga
Grounding yoga for mind and body

ABOUT
Originally from Yorkshire and a people person to my core, after coming to movement through contemporary dance as a teenager, I then found yoga which helped me hugely in managing the anxiety that often comes during these years. After reconnecting with the practice in my adult life in 2019 I’ve found it to be an invaluable tool for balance, grounding and connection whilst living in London.
I trained on the Kindred School of Yoga’s Yoga Alliance certified 200 hour Vinyasa yoga teacher training course led by Katerina Rayburn and Helen Russell-Clark. The Kindred yoga training programme has a strong focus on inclusivity and appreciation of yoga lineage with modules covering yoga humanities & ethics, anatomy and physiology, pranayama, meditation, pregnancy and size inclusive practice. I have subsequently also completed 50 hour training in Yin & the Energy Body with The Yoga People.
I passionately believe that yoga is for everybody’s body and that joy and self acceptance can be found through consistent practice. I create open and friendly classes accompanied by mood boosting (whilst also calming) playlists, where we interweave strength and stability work. I use the breath as a core element of the practice, helping students connect with themselves throughout. I ensure that variations of poses are incorporated so the practice can be accessed by all and give gentle offerings of assists and breathing techniques that can be used on and off the mat.
I have lived in London for 10 years working in management within the Dance, Theatre & Events industries.

Feedback
"Hannah's classes are the perfect blend of chill and challenge. She creates intentional flows which she links to a theme for each class, often ending with a lovely meditation to close the session. I love coming every week!"

"I’m in my early 60s and fairly new to yoga. Hannah’s class was the perfect place to start. Her friendly manner and care and attention to my yoga moves made me feel relaxed and confident. I was able to work at a pace that felt comfortable to me and definitely felt the difference after the sessions - both in body and mind. Highly recommendable! Thank you!"
"Hannah's Vinyasa classes are wonderful! She strikes a balance between accessibility, intuitively offering adaptations when needed and also allowing you to challenge yourself.
Joining these classes in the morning helps me feel grounded and ready for the day ahead. I can also feel my body getting stronger week to week with Hannah's care and encouragement."
